Raipur, July 20 (Inditop.com) Chhattisgarh assembly Monday paid tributes to noted Hindi playwright and theatre personality Habib Tanvir who died early last month in Bhopal.
Immediately after the house assembled at 11 a.m. for the commencement of the Monsoon session, the members of the house observed a two-minute silence for Tanvir.
Tanvir, who was born in state capital Raipur in 1923, was highly popular in the state.
The house also paid tributes to the 29 policemen who were killed July 12 in the state’s Rajnandgaon district in a Maoist attack.
