It gets interesting when Sunny Deol, the guy with a “Dhai Kilo Ka Haath” goes out on search for a stunt coordinator for his directorial debut Ghayal – Once Again and stumbles upon Dan Bradley. Apparently his choice of not going with an Indian Stunt coordinator is because he finds the stunts nowadays to be very Loud and Unbelievable. We don’t completely disagree with this either.
“Definitely, action is very important and today I see people who’re doing the kind of action which I’ve done several times before. You hit one and ten persons go flying around. They even move with the finger’s signal. That has become a lot now. Perhaps I was the one who started it by mistake and I need to stop it now,” he said during the launch of the movie.
In the upcoming movie Sunny will be seen doing a lot of running and hanging and beating up bad guys, but none of the stunts this time around defy the laws of physics. He gives all the credit for this to Bradley who has done a terrific job to make sure that the stunts look realistic, yet a lot exciting to watch.
“All the action coordinators that we have are all good, but they have lost the sense of the kind of action that we really want to do. Everybody is trying to be louder and louder. So I hunted around and I liked Dan Bradley on the basis of the films he had done. It was a great pleasure to be working with him because he’s genuinely a creative person. In this film because of him and because of our concept together, we’ve been able to bring out reality as much as possible,” Sunny said.
For all those who are unfamiliar with Dan Bradley and his work; he is the one responsible for Spiderman jumping and flying around New York, Superman flying to save the world, James Bond killing in style in Quantum Of Solace and Tom Cruise going Ghost Protocol.
