The loss of life and loss of property is really high and not everyone can afford to build a lot of things from scratch there. Hence for that reason this donation amount will come a lot handy for the government to help its citizens to get back to normal life sooner.

In an official statement made to the press, the donation made by the superstar has been paid through the Shri Raghavendra Public Charitable Trust which is owned by the star Rajnikant himself. The love that the people of Chennai have given him all these years, it is time to give some back when they need it the most. For this we salute Rajni sir.

Following the footsteps of the legendary star, even other South Indian actors have followed suit by donating huge chunks of money to the relief fund. Dhanush, the Kolaveri Di star and son-in-law of Rajnikant also donated 5 lakh rupees. Suriya and Karthi brothers have collectively donated 25 lakh Rupees while Vishal Krishna Reddy has pitched in with 10 lakh Rupees from his side as well.

All this pool of money collected along with the help received from the central government as well will be of huge help for the people who have been affected by the flood and we hope their lives come back on track soon and we are forever grateful to the ones who have sincerely helped for this cause.
