New Delhi, June 5 (IANS) “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” was 2011’s small budget surprise-turned-hit. However, as fans eagerly wait for its sequel, director Luv Ranjan says they would have to wait until next year.
“I am not making it currently. I will be making it next year,” Ranjan told IANS.
“Pyaar Ka Punchnama” revolved around the lives of three lovestruck boys – Rajjo, Liquid and Choudhary – essayed by newcomers Karthik Tiwari, Divyendu Sharma and Rayo Bakhirta.
It was a hilarious tale of their efforts to deal with their love interests, essayed by Nushrat Bharucha, Sonalli Sehgal and Ishita Sharma.
Asked if Ranjan will cast the same actors, he said it would depend on the script’s demand.
“It totally depends on how the script shapes up. If the script demands Rajjo, Liquid and Choudhary then I would like to cast the same people,” Ranjan said.
“If at any point of time we feel that we don’t wish to continue the story with the three characters, and we want another story, then we might take three newcomers,” he added.
