Mumbai, Sep 30 (IANS) Actress Sridevi is making her comeback to cinema with “English Vinglish” and it’s not only her fans who are eagerly waiting for the movie, but also filmmaker Ram Goal Varma.
“Can’t wait for Friday. For first time in 20 years, ever since I became a director, I am going to stand in a line and buy a ticket to see Sridevi,” the 50-year-old tweeted.
One of the reigning stars of 1980s and 1990s, Sridevi bid adieu to Bollywood after marrying producer Boney Kapoor in 1996. Her last release was the 1997 hit family drama “Judaai”.
Now Gauri Shinde has become instrumental in bringing Sridevi back to big screen with her directorial debut “English Vinglish”, which will see the 49-year-old actress playing housewife Shashi, who is bullied by her children for her poor command over English language.
