Mumbai, Aug 27 (IANS) Rohit Roy was was hoping to cast A.K. Hangal in the remake of 1982 film “Shaukeen”, but rues his wish will remain unfulfilled after the veteran actor’s demise Sunday.

Hangal played Inder Sen, one of the three old men in the Basu Chatterjee movie, which also features Ashok Kumar and Utpal Dutt.
Rohit was set to direct a new age version of the movie, with Bipasha Basu in the lead, and wished Hangal could have shot a cameo for it.
“The dream of having one of the golden oldies feature in my version of ‘Shaukeen’ will remain a dream with Hangal saab’s passing away,” tweeted Rohit.
Hangal passed away Sunday morning following prolonged illness. He was 97.

Bipasha lets go of her diet on ‘Aatma’ sets
Bipasha Basu is very conscious when it comes to her diet and fitness regime. However, the actress let go of her strictness and happily gorged on Bengali food while shooting for her new film “Aatma”.
“Bipasha is a fish lover and she called for some delicious Bengali food for her and the entire crew from the very famous Bengali restaurant Bhojohari Manna in Oshiwara,” said a source.
“And once the gourmet food was on the set, you can only imagine what must have happened! The entire unit went crazy over the yummy delicacies and it was a feast of sorts on the sets since there was so much food ranging from fish to prawns and also mishti doi and rasgullas,” the source added.
The supernatural thriller, directed by Suparn Verma, also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

SRK’s early morning shooting woes!
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently shooting in the Kashmir Valley for Yash Chopra’s next, was greeted with wet roads and dark clouds as he geared up to kickstart his early morning film schedule.
“Dark clouds… wet roads… too early for even life to feel alive… but I am on way to make movies. A cigarette and coffee as co-travellers,” Shah Rukh tweeted.
Shah Rukh is said to be playing the role of an army officer named Samar in the love-triangle movie, starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
