Chennai, Oct 8 (IANS) Ashok Selvan, set to enthrall audiences as a lead actor for the first time in upcoming Tamil horror-thriller “Pizza 2: Villa”, says he worked with a young team in the movie, which was both challenging and inspiring.

Ashok made his cinematic debut as one of the leads in the recent Tamil blockbuster “Soodhu Kavvum”.
“Our film features a very young team. We encountered so many challenges as a team but we always stuck together. One of our biggest challenges was to shoot in a 200-year-old villa. We were chasing a deadline and were left with several scenes to be completed but we still didn’t give up,” Ashok told IANS.
“We shot non-stop for a few days and managed to complete the remaining portion of the shoot. Even though it was physically exhausting to shoot without sleep, we did it as a team. We inspired each other in the process and worked hard towards a common goal,” said the 24-year-old.
The film is directed by young techie-turned-director Deepan Chakravarthy. It also features Sanchita Shetty, Nassar and S.J. Suryah in important roles.
Ashok says the “Pizza 2: Villa” offer came as a shock.
“I couldn’t come to terms with it, when I was selected to play the lead in the film. I had just played a full length funny character in my debut and this was a shock of sorts for me. I wondered how my mother and friends would react to the news!” he said.
Produced by C.V. Kumar, the film is slated to release soon.
