New Delhi, July 29 (IANS) Three major Delhi Metro stations will now provide first aid service while two will also supply ambulances – all for free.

This is meant to provide prompt medical service to passengers travelling in the metro, which has tied up with Max Healthcare.

‘These services will be available at Central Secretariat, Kashmere Gate and Rajiv Chowk stations,’ said Pervez Ahmed, CEO of Max Healthcare. Rajiv Chowk and Kashmere Gate will have ambulances.

‘We will expand our services to other stations depending on the response from this first attempt,’ Ahmed said.

Delhi Metro runs around 2,000 train trips and ferries 16 lakh passengers every day.
