Bangalore, Sep 4 (Inditop.com) Four more swine flu deaths were reported from Karnataka, taking the toll due to the H1N1 virus to 35 in the state, health officials said Friday.

All the four deaths were reported from Bangalore. A 38-year-old woman died at a government hospital Tuesday. Three men aged 27, 41 and 31 years died Wednesday, Sunday and Tuesday respectively.

However, the test reports of all four saying that they were positive for A(H1N1) arrived only Thursday, a health official said here.

A special training programme for doctors of private hospitals who are treating swine flu patients was held recently in Bangalore.

“The programme organised by state government was intended at making swine flu treatment more effective,” State Director (Health and Family Welfare) Usha Wasunkar told Inditop.

“Training focussed on how to handle critical A (H1N1) patients in intensive care units (ICU),” she added.

State Health and Family Welfare department is planning to conduct more such training programmes for doctors, currently treating swine flu patients.

Meanwhile, 19 more people tested positive for H1N1 virus infection Thursday, taking the number of confirmed cases in the state to 536. All 19 cases were in Bangalore.
