Bhopal, Nov 11 (Inditop.com) All seven medical colleges and hospitals in Madhya Pradesh would be connected by close circuit TV (CCTV) network with the state health ministry, an official said Wednesday.
The decision has been taken at a joint meeting of the autonomous committee of the six medical colleges at Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa and Sagar and the dental college at Indore.
Madhya Pradesh Health and Medical Education minister Anup Mishra attended the meeting.
The medical colleges and hospitals would be connected with CCTV so that monitoring could be done from Bhopal, said the minister.
E-libraries, linked to the national library in Kolkata, would be set up at all the medical colleges, an official said.
The meeting also resolved to set up separate medicine stores for the general patients and the below poverty line (BPL) patients getting treatment under the Deendayal Antyodaya Upachar Yojana.
The minister, according to the official, warned against any BPL patient being asked to purchase medicines from the open market. They could buy medicines from pharmacies that are required to have a minimum stock of ten days, he said.
