Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 7 (IANS) Mauritius President Rajkeswur Purryag will be the chief guest at this year’s Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF) beginning in Kochi Feb 20.
The five-day event, billed as the biggest-ever summit on ayurveda, is being organised by the Kerala government and the state’s ayurveda fraternity, said organising secretary C.Suresh Kumar.
More than 4,000 delegates from 35 countries are expected to attend the event, which has the theme ‘ayurveda in public health’ this year.
Practitioners like Britain’s Gerry Bodekar, Australia’s Marc Cohen, and Antonio Morandi, the director of Ayurvedic Point in Italy’s Milan would attend the GAF.
