New Delhi, Nov 12 (Inditop.com) A 22-year-old woman died of swine flu in the national capital, taking the toll from the disease in the city to 18 so far, health officials said Thursday.
The woman tested positive for influenza A(H1N1) and was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital with severe pneumonia a few days back that led to respiratory failure, the official said.
Meanwhile, 26 new swine flu cases, including 19 children, were reported Thursday in the capital.
Delhi Health Minister Kiran Walia said the situation is under control and the government was taking all measures to check the spread of the contagious disease.
India has so far reported 508 swine flu deaths.
