London, Jan 24 (Inditop.com) American comedian Andy Dick was arrested Saturday morning in West Virginia on two felony charges of alleged sexual abuse in the first degree. He was later freed on bail.
The managing partner of the Lucky Bone Comedy Club, which had hired Dick, paid the bail fee – $60,000.
People.com reports that Andy’s preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Feb 2.
“I have no comment for now because I’m still determining the facts of the case,” Dick’s attorney Jeffery Rubenstein told People magazine.
The comedian, 44, who was in town for weekend performances at the Funny Bone Comedy Club and Restaurant in Huntington, was arraigned Saturday in Cabell County Magistrate Court.
This is not Andy’s first run-in with the law. In 2008, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanour battery and marijuana possession in California. The plea stemmed from an incident in which he allegedly “walked up to the 17-year-old female victim, grabbed her tank top and bra and pulled them down and exposed her breasts,” according to a police statement at the time of the arrest.
