London, May 14 (Inditop) Britney Spears’ cousin and former assistant Alli Sims has credited the pop star for her big start in the field of music.
Sims says Spears threatened to fire her if she didn’t pursue her dream, reports contactmusic.com. Sims recalls playing one of Spears’ songs she recorded as a teen and the “Toxic” hitmaker was so impressed that she made her promise to get serious about recording her tunes.
Sims said: “I was sitting with her in the living room and a song I’d done in high school popped up and she was like, ‘I love this song, who’s singing it?’ I go, ‘I am actually.’ She goes, ‘You’re still living with me? I’m getting another assistant to help me out and you’re pursuing this’.”
