London, Sep 29 (Inditop.com) Burglars have battered down the front door of singer Gwen Stefani’s 2.5 million pounds (narly $4 million) London house.

Thieves broke down the front door of Stefani’s swanky Primrose Hill property, which is split into two flats, on Saturday night. But they failed to get into her upstairs flat.

Gwen, 39, was in Singapore with her group No Doubt at the time, reports mirror.co.uk.

The thieves didn’t manage to gain access to the top two floors that Stefani shares with her husband, Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale, 43, and their two children. According to police, her flat was too heavily protected.

The burglars, however, managed to break into the other flat in the building that the rock couple rent out to Dame Elizabeth Forgan, head of the Arts Council. They stole jewellery from Elizabeth’s house. She was also out at the time.
