Los Angeles, April 10 (DPA) Controversial actor Charlie Sheen is prepared for the end of the hit sitcom “Two and a Half Men” over a salary wrangle with the producers.
In a statement to People.com Friday, Sheen, 44, said that if the season finale turns out to be the final-ever episode after six seasons then “so be it”.
Sheen’s comments disputed widespread online reports that the star was demanding more than $1 million per episode, up from a current level of $825,000.
“All of the numbers reported in the press are false. Claims from ‘inside sources’ regarding offers from the studio as well as my salary, on their best day, are without merit,” Sheen said in the statement.
Sheen has reportedly been attending nightly rehab sessions since December when he was arrested in Aspen, Colorado, and later charged with assaulting and threatening his wife, Brooke Mueller. Mueller has also entered a rehab programme.
