London, Nov 28 (Inditop.com) Pop star Fergie says she studied Italian cinema and its actresses to master her performance as a prostitute in the film “Nine”.
The “Black Eyed Peas” star admits she went to auditions in London well prepared to convince director Rob Marshall he had made the right choice in picking her to play vampish Saraghina, reports contactmusic.com.
“I watched all the (Federico) Fellini films and studied Italian actresses; how they walked and how they spoke with their hands. Whenever I would sit down, I would never cross my legs because that’s not how Saraghina would sit; she wasn’t a lady. I would walk in a different physicality than I use myself,” said Fergie.
“I tried to become Italian, I tried to become Saraghina,” she added.
