YOKO ONO has dismissed criticism of the new BEATLES Rock Band game, insisting her late husband JOHN LENNON “would have loved it”.

Fans of the Fab Four will be able to play along to 45 of their hits when The Beatles: Rock Band hits stores in September (09).

Surviving Beatles Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have been accused of “selling out” by allowing their music to be used.

But Ono – who runs Lennon’s estate – insists it will introduce the band to a whole new generation of fans.

She says, “(John) would have loved it. The Beatles: Rock Band is about to create another revolution.”
