LINDSAY LOHAN plans to swap acting for a career behind the camera – she is currently developing a string of TV shows.

The Mean Girls star has fallen out of favour with movie executives in recent years and hasn’t managed to land a major film role since 2007’s Georgia Rule, during which she was criticised by her bosses for her wild party antics.

But Lohan is determined to get her career back on track, and will soon be turning her hand to producing TV programmes – because she finds it more “interesting” than acting.

She tells U.S. TV show Extra, “I’ve been creating a bunch of shows that I’ve written treatments for and that I’m going to be producing.”
