MADONNA is cosying up to the political elite during her trip to Israel – she was spotted dining out with opposition leader TZIPI LIVNI.

The Queen of Pop is visiting the state on her Sticky & Sweet world tour for two shows in Tel Aviv on Tuesday and Wednesday (01-02Sep09).

She caused a stir when she received a police escort for a sightseeing trip around Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday (30Aug09).

Now she has risked further criticism in the political hotspot by heading out for a meal with Livni and her husband Naftali Shpitzer.

Madonna and her new love Jesus Luz joined the couple in a private room at the plush Stephan Brown restaurant in Tel Aviv, where the Material Girl tucked into a plate of fish.

The foursome spent more than two hours dining at the eaterie before Madonna and Luz headed back to their hotel.
