Hollywood filmmaker JON PETERS has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from his SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL co-producer BRIAN QUINTANA after allegedly threatening to break his legs.
Peters, who has previously had a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against him by Quintana, is accused of hurling abuse during a bust-up at a Los Angeles law office.
It is claimed he screamed, “I am going to cross this table and beat the ****ing **** out of you. I am going to kick your a**.”
In legal papers filed by Quintana on 14 August (09), he alleges: “Mr. Peters threatened to break my legs. I am afraid, nervous and anxious that Jon Peters is going to hurt or kill me.”
In August (09), Quintana received a court order forbidding the producer from threatening, assaulting or harassing him.
It’s not the first time the pair has come to blows – Quintana previously filed another lawsuit last November (08) alleging Peters subjected him to “continuous and pervasive sexual harassment,” including “multiple instances where he was physically (and) sexually harassed by Peters” during the filming of the Superman movie.
Peters’ lawyer, Joe Yanny, has slammed the new order, branding it “ridiculous” and insisting his client “lost his temper” at the testimony because Quintana was blowing kisses at him.
He says, “This restraining order is ridiculous. Mr. Peters did not threaten Mr. Quintana. He is trying to manipulate the system.”
A hearing is scheduled for 9 September to determine how long the order will remain in effect.
