London, April 14 (Inditop.com) Singer Dannii Minogue, who is in the family way, will return to “The X-Factor” later this year with sister Kylie providing maternity cover for her during the auditions.
Monstersandcritics.com reports that the 38-year-old’s future on the show has been uncertain as she is expecting a baby in July, right in the middle of the auditions for the show. But sources say she will return to the show alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole when it comes back for another series.
“Dannii will definitely be back and has not been axed. There has been a lot of speculation but we want her back. She really blossomed last year,” a source told Daily Mirror.
Another source said: “Dannii gave an absolutely blinding performance in The X-Factor last year – the whole nation was captivated by her. She has a poise and a confidence and is completely compelling.”
Dannii is meeting executives including producer Richard Holloway to talk about returning to the ITV show later this year. But she will see her previous deal trimmed by up to 300,000 pounds after being unable to commit to the live auditions due to her pregnancy.
“This meeting is the first step to getting Dannii back on the show. If a solution can be worked out she will be here again at the live stages. We are very very keen for her to come back, so at this stage, it doesn’t look like her pregnancy is going to present any problems we can’t work around,” mirror.co.uk quoted a show source as saying.
The show bosses are reportedly looking for someone to take her place temporarily during the auditions and her sister Kylie, 41, could be that person.
