London, May 12 (Inditop.com) Actor Russell Crowe hurt his foot when a stunt went wrong during the shoot of his upcoming movie “Robin Hood”.

The 46-year-old, who damaged his achilles tendons while filming the 1998 movie “Mystery, Alaska” and has suffered chronic pain ever since, is now preparing to undergo surgery to repair the damage, express.co.uk reported

He says he was unable to avoid a repeat injury while filming the movie.

“It was a 12-foot jump and normally you would land on your toes and take the shock out of your body. But because of my achilles I was trying to land somewhere between the balls of my feet and my heels, said the actor.

“I over-jumped on the first take and crushed my heels. I was in agony. I was walking like an 80-year-old. And People were saying ‘What’s the matter, Gladiator?’,” he said.
