Country singer ADAM BRAND has waltzed home with the trophy on the Australian version of reality show DANCING WITH THE STARS.
The 39 year old was shocked to beat out TV hosts Kylie Gillies and Matt White on Sunday night’s (06Sep09) final – and dedicated his win to his late nephew Harry, who died of cancer aged two.
Brand says, “At the start of this competition I said it doesn’t matter what they do, they can put me in high heels and a ballerina dress for all I care, because the reason we started this was for where the money went – charity. So every step, every awkward move that I’ve done here doesn’t matter because he’s up there watching it. This is for little Harry.”
Money raised from Brand’s appearance on the show will go to a childhood cancer research charity.
