Kolkata, Aug 31 (IANS) Three people drowned when a boat capsized in Matla river in West Bengal’s South 24-Parganas district Wednesday, officials said.
District Magistrate N.S. Nigam said two men and one woman drowned after the accident took place near Kaikhali area.
The boat capsized due to strong current in the river, he added.
