New Delhi, July 31 (IANS) A case was registered against unidentified Team Anna supporters who tried to deface a wall of the prime minister’s residence last week, police said Tuesday. They were booked for defacement of property.

Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said: “A case has been registered against unknown persons under section 3(1) of Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act of 2007.”
Around 100 Team Anna supporters, including women, staged a protest outside the prime minister’s residence on Race Course Road in central Delhi Saturday.
Some of the protesters had defaced the wall and thrown coal pieces inside the premises. Police detained some protesters.
