New Delhi, May 22 (IANS) Delhi sweated Saturday with the maximum temperature at 44.5 degrees Celsius, four notches above average, weather officials said. The temperature Sunday is expected to hover around 45 degrees.
‘The national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 44.5 degrees Celsius which was four degree above normal (average) for this time of the year,’ an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The minimum temperature was 25.6 degrees Celsius, one degree below the average for this time of the season.
According to IMD, the national capital can expect the maximum temperature to hover around 45 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature around 27 degrees on Sunday.
‘Delhi will have a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunderstorms in the later part of Sunday,’ the official added.
