New Delhi, Dec 10 (IANS) The army has revised the Standard Operating Procedure to check illegal sales of Non-Service Pattern Weapons, Defence Minister A.K. Antony said Monday.
He told the Lok Sabha that a case relating to the sale of such weapons by army officers and a Junior Commissioned Officer had come to light in violation of the Army Act.
The minister said buyers and dealers of the weapons sold illegally were based in Bikaner, Ganganagar and Bharatpur in Rajasthan and Sirsa in Haryana.
