Kolkata, July 30 (IANS) Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi said Tuesday that the West Bengal government lacked teamwork to prevent crimes against women.

Talking about rising crimes against women in the state, Bedi said: “The government lacks teamwork. It should work with the people, police and politicians.”
“The government should involve panchayats to prevent crimes,” she added.
She said the PPP (people, police, politicians) formula could lead to better management.
“Women should be strong and speak up against the perpetrators so that police can take action,” Bedi said.
