New Delhi, July 29 (IANS) It was a bright Friday morning here with clear skies but the weather office forecast rains later in the day.
The minimum temperature settled at 26.5 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.
‘The maximum temperature will hover around 32 degrees Celsius,’ an India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
‘The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 87 percent,’ he added.
Delhi received 3.9 mm of rainfall between 8.30 a.m. Thursday and 8.30 a.m. Friday.
The city has received a total of 202.4 mm of rainfall so far, 58.1 percent below the average for monsoon season, the official said.
The capital was lashed by heavy rain Thursday leading to waterlogging and jams in several parts of the city.
The maximum temperature Thursday was recorded at 33.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 26.1 degrees.
