New Delhi, July 1 (IANS) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a criminal case against the former head of the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH), V.K. Sibal, for allegedly favouring select firms, including a foreign entity, in grant of extension of exploration contracts, an official said Friday.
‘We have registered a case against him (Sibal) and raids are on at his residence in Noida (Uttar Pradesh),’ a CBI official told IANS.
The DGH is the technical arm of the petroleum ministry that supervises licences and permissions for private operators.
