Kochi, Nov 29 (IANS) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the murder of Muthoot business group’s scion Paul M. George in 2009, was Monday given two more months by the Kerala High Court to complete the investigation.

A division bench of Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and Justice P. Bhavadasan allowed the CBI’s plea seeking extra time, stating that it was expecting to get the final forensic reports shortly.

The CBI said in its plea last month that once it received the forensic reports it would file the charge-sheet.

It was in January this year that the high court gave its nod for a CBI probe in the case. The nod came after M.G. George Muthoot, father of Paul M. George, approached the court Oct 30 last year.

The court asked the CBI in January to take over the probe and complete it in six months.

Paul M. George was killed under suspicious circumstances near Alappuzha Aug 21 last year while travelling in a car with others.

Before the CBI took over the probe, police arrested 19 people in the case.
