New Delhi, Dec 28 (IANS) It was a chilly, windy morning in Delhi Friday with the minimum temperature settling at 6.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below average for this time of the year. The Met Office has forecast a clear day ahead.
“The day will be clear with the maximum temperature likely to be around 18 degrees Celsius,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
“Cold winds will continue to sweep through the capital for the next few days,” the IMD official added.
A shallow fog enveloped the city early Friday; humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m was 91 percent and the visibility around 700 meters.
Thursday’s maximum temperature was 16.6 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season’s average, while the minimum was 9.2 degrees Celsius, two degrees above the average for the season.
