New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS) After a series of cloudy mornings, the skies over the capital were clear Friday with the weather office forecasting light showers later in the day. The minimum temperature settled two notches below the average for the season at 24.6 degrees Celsius.

“One or two spells of rain are likely in some areas,” said an official from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
“The maximum temperature would stay around 32 degrees Celsius,” added the official.
According to IMD, the day is likely to be muggy as humidity would remain high.
Humidity level recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 92 percent.
Thursday’s maximum temperature was three notches below the season’s average at 30.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was two notches below the season’s average at 24.3 degrees Celsius.
