New Delhi, Jan 1 (IANS) Beginning on a pleasant note, the first day of 2012 ended up being cloudy with chilly winds blowing across the capital Sunday.
While the minimum temperature was recorded one notch above average at 8.4 degrees, the humidity wavered between a high and low of 93 and 75 percent. The maximum temperature was 19.5 degrees, one notch below average.
According to the India Meteorological Department, there will be fog on Monday morning but the sky will remain clear in the day.
The maximum and minimum and temperatures are likely to hover around 20 and 9 degrees respectively.
