New Delhi, Dec 27 (IANS) A cold day was recorded in Delhi Thursday with the maximum temperature dipping four notches below average to settle at 16.6 degree Celsius. Friday is expected to be slightly warmer.

Shallow fog was recorded in Thursday morning, but no flights were cancelled due to it.
Visibility was 500 meters at 8.30 a.m., the India Meteorological Department said, adding it is likely to dip to 400 meters at 11.30 p.m.
The sky remained partly cloudy, and minimum temperature was two notches above average at 9.2 degree Celsius.
Friday is expected to be clear, with maximum and minimum temperature likely to be around 18 and nine degree Celsius.
