New Delhi, Dec 17 (Inditop.com) The Delhi High Court Thursday pulled up the home ministry for shifting blame to their counsel while failing to respond to the court’s queries.
A division bench comprising Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Ajit Bharioke said: “We strongly deprecate the ministry’s attempt to shift the blame on the counsel who has carried out his functions as expected.”
“The record clearly states that instead of fixing the responsibility for any lapses, systemic or otherwise, the blame is sought to be shifted on the counsel assisting the Union of India,” the court said.
The court was hearing a case in which a grandfather had written a letter alleging that Delhi Police did not register a case after his granddaughter went missing in 1998.
