New Delhi, Jan 9 (IANS) After braving extremely cold weather for more than a week, people in Delhi found respite Wednesday with a bright sun pushing up the maximum temperature to 20.9 degrees Celsius from a minimum of 4.4 degrees.

An India Meteorological Department official said Thursday’s minimum temperature was likely to be 5 degrees Celsius while the maximum may touch 21 degrees.
But fog and icy winds would continue Thursday, said the official.
“I was expecting the same chilly day. But it was sunny today with a little breeze. I hope it remains like this,” said Reema Seth, a BPO employee.
Tuesday’s minimum temperature was 3.3 degrees Celsius and maximum was 15.5 degrees.
