New Delhi, July 3 (IANS) The dead body of a 40-year-old man was found inside the complex of an ashram in north Delhi Saturday, police said.

‘The deceased was identified as Vinay Kumar, 40, a resident of Dheerpur village. He was last seen alive by his family members as he left his residence around 7 p.m. Friday,’ police said.

The body was discovered at Baba Ramdas Ashram on the Dheerpur road in the Mukherjee Nagar area.

According to police, the man was murdered after having an altercation with some people.

‘We have registered a case of murder. It seems he had a fight with some known people while in an inebriated state. The body was found close to a temple located inside the complex,’ Deputy Commissioner of Police (northwest) N.S. Bundela said.

Vinay Kumar owned a factory and a workshop involved in steel works which was sealed a couple of months back for causing pollution in the area.
