New Delhi, Sep 29 (IANS) Delhi Police has asked all the police stations across the capital to be on alert ahead of the Ayodhya verdict to be delivered by the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court Thursday.
A senior Delhi Police official said all the officers in each police station in the capital have been asked to stay alert.
Around two lakh security officials of different agencies and paramilitary forces have already been deployed in the national capital for the Commonwealth Games. Officials say that they have not made any special arrangements for the Ayodhya verdict.
‘There is a tight security cover in the capital due to the Commonwealth Games. However, we have asked local police and other units to stay cautious,’ said a senior police officer.
The reserve battalions of the Delhi Police would be deployed if there is an emergency in the capital, the official said.
