New Delhi, April 13 (Inditop.com) After recording the highest temperatures for the season two days in a row, Delhi Tuesday saw a slight dip in daytime temperatures recording a maximum of 39.8 degrees Celsius, four notches above the average, the weatherman said.
The temperature Tuesday was a tad better than the daytime temperature since Sunday that soared to 41.6 degrees Celsius. However, the dip was hardly perceivable to the residents of the capital.
“Delhi saw little respite Tuesday with the maximum temperature being recorded at 39.8 degrees Celsius, four degrees above the average. The temperature has dipped from 41.6 degrees Celsius recorded in the past two days,” said an official at the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The national capital recorded a minimum of 25.4 degrees Celsius which is five degrees above the average.
The IMD official added that more dry and hot days are likely with humidity remaining between 47-16 percent.
“On Wednesday the maximum and minimum temperature is expected to be between 39 and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively, and the day sky would be clear,” he said.
Meanwhile residents are doing all they can to cope with the summer that’s turning out to be hotter than the past five years.
“This time the heat is really quite bad. Even the desert coolers installed seem ineffective in the afternoon heat,” said Anjali Sharma, a housewife.
