New Delhi, Jan 1 (IANS) Beginning on a pleasant note, the first day of 2012 saw cloudy skies and a slight drizzle towards the evening. Delhiites can expect a foggy Monday morning, the Met office said.
The weather office recorded 0.4 mm of rain till 8.30 p.m.
The minimum temperature was recorded one notch above average at 8.4 degrees Celsius, while the maximum stood at 19.5 degrees, a notch below average.
Humidity wavered between a high of 93 and a low of 75 percent.
Monday morning is likely to be foggy, but the rest of the day will be clear, an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 20 and 9 degrees respectively.
