Shimla, July 3 (IANS) The prevailing dry weather in Himachal Pradesh Sunday increased the temperature by one to two notches, with the weatherman forecasting no rainfall Monday.

‘There was a lull in the monsoon across the state in the past 24 hours. Only Manali town recorded mild rainfall of 5 mm,’ meteorological office director Manmohan Singh told IANS.

He said the maximum temperature in most of the prominent destinations including Shimla, Dharamsala, Palampur and Chamba increased by a few notches. However, there was no appreciable change in the night temperature.

While tourist town Shimla recorded the day temperature at 25.2 degrees Celsius, it was 30.2 degrees in Dharamsala and 34.7 degrees in Bhuntar.
