Guwahati, May 17 (IANS) An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and some arms and ammunition were recovered in Assam Thursday.
Security forces found the IED near the Aideubari tea estate near Sonari in Upper Assam’s Sivsagar district, police said, adding that it was later defused by the army.
In lower Assam’s Nalbari district, one AK-47 rifle, one .22 rifle and 260 rounds of live ammunition were found.
Three people were arrested in this connection.
