Chandigarh, Aug 16 (IANS) The wife and two minor daughters of the Chandigarh Police chief’s cook were found dead in their home under mysterious circumstances, police said Monday.
Vishnu Kumar, who works at the house of Inspector General Pardeep Srivastava, lives in Sector 26 here.
According to the police, the dead were identified as Kumar’s 29-year-old wife and two children aged five and eight years. His third daughter, who is nine years old, is struggling for life at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER).
‘The family lived in the police lines colony in Sector 26 and Vishnu was working as cook at the house of Chandigarh inspector general of police. Right now it is very difficult to comment on the reason behind these deaths,’ said a police official.
‘We are waiting for the post-mortem reports and we are also taking the help of sniffer dogs and forensic experts,’ he said.
