Gurgaon, April 20 (IANS) A fire broke out at a shopping mall here Sunday causing loss of property. Luckily, no one was injured in the blaze, a fire officer said.

The fire broke out around 11 a.m. in the Vishal Mega Mart outlet located on the second floor of the mall in the Dundahera area near Udyog Vihar.
Fire fighters fought hard to make their entry into the mall as the outer glass sheets of the building could not be broken despite several attempts.
Finally, the firemen entered the mall from the roof top with the help of hydraulic platform.
“Nearly a dozen firefighting vehicles, including a hydraulic platform, were pressed into service to control the blaze,” Chief Fire Officer Mahendra Bhardwaj told IANS.
“Fire broke out at about 11 a.m. and within minutes, it spread in the shopping area of the mart. It was doused after more than two hours,” he said.
No one was reported injured in the incident. Officials were calculating the loss from the blaze.
The cause of the fire was being ascertained.
