New Delhi, Jan 25 (Inditop.com) After clear skies Monday, fog is likely to return to the national capital Tuesday due to moisture in the atmosphere, weather officials said.

Delhi saw clear and warm weather Monday, days after foggy mornings paralysed air and rail traffic in the national capital.

“There is moisture in the air which can lead to fog formation Tuesday. If it is windy during the night, then there is a possibility of clear skies,” an India Meteorological Department official told Inditop.

Delhi saw a minimum temperature of 10.3 degrees Celsius, which was two notches above the average.

The IMD has forecast the maximum and minimum temperature to settle around 23 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees Celsius Tuesday.

Delhi residents expressed their concern over fog likely spoiling the country’s 61st Republic Day functions at Rajpath Tuesday.

“I wish there is no fog Tuesday as I have bought four passes and want my children to watch the Republic Day parade at Rajpath. Things could become difficult if there is fog as I have to come from east Delhi,” said Rajat Verma, a marketing professional.

Komal Sharma, a Jaipur resident, said: “I have come to Delhi especially to watch the parade and I am praying that there is no fog Tuesday.”
