Agartala, May 5 (IANS) Four Bangladeshi youth, aged around 13-14 years, escaped from a Tripura juvenile home where they were sent after being detained for a burglary, police said Saturday.
The accused escaped from the juvenile home at Narsingarh near Agartala airport Friday.
A police spokesman said: “All the four children, residents of east Bangladesh, were detained Wednesday in a burglary case. As they were under 18 years of age they were sent to the juvenile home.”
Tripura’s 15 cities are located along the border with Bangladesh, which shares 856 km boundary with the northeast state. A large number of Bangladeshi people come to Agartala in search of jobs.
