New Delhi, April 29 (IANS) The day will be partly cloudy with the possibility of a dust storm, but Delhi will feel the heat with the maximum temperature expected to touch 40 degrees Celsius Friday.

The minimum temperature recorded Friday morning was 26.4 degrees, a notch above average, India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said.

‘The day will be partly cloudy, there are chances of a dust storm,’ an IMD official said. ‘The temperature will rise further in coming week,’ he said.

The maximum temperature recorded Thursday was slightly below the 40 degree mark at 39.4, but it was still a notch above average.

On Monday too, the maximum temperature had touched the 40 degree mark.

April this year has been the coolest in the last 10 years. According to the IMD, around this time last year, the temperature had soared to 43.7 degrees Celsius.
