Gurgaon, Dec 26 (IANS) A new war memorial at Palam Vihar here in the memory of martyrs of the 13 Kumaon Regiment during the 1962 war with China will be inaugurated by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda Dec 29, an organiser said Wednesday.
The memorial in Sector 23 will be dedicated to 114 martyrs of the regiment who sacrificed their lives for the country Nov 18, 1962 at Rezang La in Ladakh area of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Nearly 1,600 war widows and ex-servicemen will attend the function,” said T.C. Rao, veteran president, Vijay Diwas and Rezang La Shahidi Samaroh Samiti.
